Another early ZONE4 application was designed to present 180 road transport projects scheduled for completion over a 15 year time-frame. The user can filter the projects by: type, time and location.

The model of a three-way filter to segment road projects enables non-technical users to interact with the information in a meaningful way. Therefore allowing faster and greater understanding of road projects and how they are scheduled.

The application is an example of how a basic interaction model can be a powerful tool for data understanding, by simply allowing various levels of technical users to explore complex data in a structured format.

The screenshots show how quickly the data can be filtered to reveal the small number of projects in a specific category (Example: “Strategic Road Transit Lane T2”) from a highly complex puzzle into a simple and easy way to share a picture of the projects.
